“Dangerous Love” will be a feature-length narrative film that looks at the various forms of Teen Dating Abuse, to be licensed free of charge to Domestic Violence groups and organizations nationwide and then released to the general public without charge (via download).
A beloved high school teacher named Nick introduces his students to a video contest designed to bring awareness to Domestic Violence while struggling with abuse within his own developing relationship. Four students – Dexter, a senior athlete; Sharon, a junior musician; Jessica, a sophomore artist; and Jimmy, a freshman writer – enter the contest by developing projects based on people and events within their own conflicting lives
Five filmmakers will direct five interconnecting storylines, headed by Brian Ackley of One Way or Another Productions. The screenplay, being written by Ackley, is currently ¾ completed. Producers Ade Richardson, Rik Burns, Florens Fancuilli, Brian Ackley, and Executive Producer Hal Eisenberg are in the process of formulating budgets for pre-production, production, post-production, marketing, and self-distribution costs.
In coming months WOO Films will embark on a series of fundraising endeavors to raise money for the film, including seeking investment financing, offering product and professional placement within the film, crowd-fund campaigning, and hosting traditional fundraising events.
